Book early on this new workshop which will introduce participants to the simple technique of drypoint etching and Chine Colle' using foliage, found objects and existing drawings as inspiration. Participants will learn how to transfer simple drawings into fine art prints.
- Learn how to prepare and select suitable artwork
- How to transfer drawings onto drypoint plates
- Examples of finished prints
- Ink up and print prepared drypoint plates using oil-based inks and small etching press.
What to bring:
Apron, A4 size portfolio to take prints away (optional), selection of drawing pencils or fine pens and any prepared artwork. Your tutor will bring a selection of dried foliage and found objects, but feel free to bring any for the purpose of drawing. Your tutor will also supply all printmaking materials, equipment and detailed handouts.
Admission to the garden is also included.
