Introducing the fourth Beth Chatto Symposium, Connections Through Time, taking place on 27th, 28th and 29th August 2026 at the University of Essex and Beth Chatto's Garden.
Spend three inspiring days with us enjoying lectures, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops.
On Thursday 27th and Friday 28th, the event will take place at the University of Essex, featuring a programme of engaging talks and discussions. Then, on Saturday 29th, we'll move to the Beth Chatto Gardens for a more relaxed day of tours, workshops and informal talks 10am - 5pm.
Thursday evening will also include a garden party at the gardens - a wonderful chance to meet fellow attendees, connect with experts, and continue the conversations in a beautiful setting.
With a diverse programme of speakers and moderated discussion panels, the symposium aims to stimulate meaningful conversation and shared learning across disciplines. All proceeds will be donated to the Beth Chatto Education Trust, which seeks to inspire, educate, and promote enjoyment and wellbeing for all through gardens and the outdoor environment.
